"Proper post soon to come." Hah. Soon. I really need to blog more often, instead of making a super long post trying to cram in everything that has happened the past two weeks.
First of all, to summarize the San Antonio orchestra trip.
Thursday; We loaded the bus super early, and my friend and I watched Mean Girls the first two hours. On our way to San Antonio we stopped at the Glenrose Dinosaur Park. Apparently Texas has a state dinosaur. After we stopped for lunch at a place that took forever to get our food out, but nonetheless it was an alright place. That night we went to an arcade/pizza place. Where we ate pizza and played arcade games. Obviously.
Friday; That morning, Non Varsity and the freshman orchestra played for the competition that was being held. Once they were done we went to Sea World; saw some penguins and dolphins and whatnot, basic things you do when you go to Sea World, but also singing songs such as I'm on a Boat and Every time We Touch [Which actually happened during most of the trip]. Then we went to a place called El Mercado, where a small group of friends and I went to dinner at an actual restaurant because everyone else wanted to go to the food stands outside the restaurant. My friend bought a giant sombrero there. And I mean a freaking huge sombrero. He wore it around and people thought he was crazy, it was the best thing ever.
Saturday; Varsity orchestra, the one that I'm in, performed that morning for the competition. We went to a shopping mall that was there, as well as a thing called The Vault and The Maze afterwards. There was a cool shop that sold nail polish and t-shirts that drastically changes color in sunlight. One that I bought changes from silver and glittery to a bright, hot pink in the sun. Then we went to Six Flags Fiesta Texas, rode some rides, then went to the ceremony, which was at Six Flags, for the competition. We brought home seven trophies, varsity winning best orchestra. Great night.
Sunday; We checked out of the hotel, and sat on the bus for three hours until having lunch at Taco Bell. It was alright though, because I sat next to a pretty awesome person (the one who bought the giant sombrero). When we got to Taco Bell, I jokingly said he should wear it while he ordered. He did. Best thing ever.
I got a lot of pictures of people sleeping on the bus to use for the slide show at the end of the year banquet. >:D
Last week, the week after the trip, was absolute crap though. It was like everything bad that could happen, happened.
I started this post on the 16th, thinking I would finish it that day. I wrote a note saying "Last Night" assuming I would remember what happened to expand on later. I don't remember. So whatever happened the night of April 15th, it was apparently awesome. I think I went to IHOP that night, but I can't remember if it was that night or not. If it is the night I'm thinking of, then yes, it was awesome.
Solo/Ensemble was last Saturday. That day while playing I didn't think I did that well, but I did get a one, surprisingly. Which is the best score you can get, so that made me happy.
I had to write a story in English that included the elements of realism. That might be my next post.
Also, I've been in love with this song since the trip. Along with Anti-Jokes, such as:
Why was six afraid of seven? It wasn't. Numbers are not sentient and thus incapable of feeling fear.
Your momma's so fat that she should probably be worried about the increased risk of cardiovascular disease
A man walks into a bar. Except it was a metal bar, like a pole. So he got hurt.
What's brown and sticky? A stick.
What's red and smells like blue paint? Red paint.
How many midgets can you fit into a telephone booth? Well, it really depends on a lot of factors. The size and design of the phone booth itself is pretty important. Also, midgets really have a wide range of sizes, but we could do some analysis and find out the average at least. Based on that we could have an estimate done soon.
What do you get when you cross a Mexican with an octopus? Nothing, two different species cannot propagate and gene splicing isn't advanced enough to separate the specific traits of an organism.
What did the farmer say when he lost his tractor? "Wheres my tractor?"
I found my old Nintendo DS a week or two ago too, so I bought Pokemon Black Version. Last Sunday my friends and I went to Barnes and Noble to play together, since there's free wifi to connect our games. We also read inappropriate books in the cooking section.
Now, I have a three day weekend. Hopefully a post soon including all the shenanigans and tomfoolery I have gotten into the next few days.

PENGUINS! HUGE SOMBREROS! :D My friend has some of that color changing nail polish. It's so cool! And ah, Six Flags! Your whole orchestra trip extravaganza sounds like it was so much fun.
Hahahaha... What's brown and sticky? A stick. For some reason I find that one inexplicably hilarious.
